So as you have seen and read below, it has been a fun filled several months. Johnny and I have worked hard with her....especially Johnny. I only take her to and from adult daycare 3 days a week and get her on Friday nights....Johnny spends every morning and evening with her of every day working with her. Though she still has a way to go, she has come a long way. All we can do is continue to work with her, enjoy her, make new memories (documenting as we go), and pray/wait for her continuous recovery. :).

Stay tuned for more frequent updates

Before Christmas Amelia, Brent, Mom and I all went out to Roseland where you walk around and look at all the beautiful Christmas lights and decorations. Also, Amelia got to meet Santa and tell him what she wanted for Christmas....a dollhouse :)

I have been having girls night with Mom mostly every Friday night since she has been home but if not a Friday than 1 other day of that week. We like to have activities planned and I have been bad about documenting them. So I will begin with her birthday in which Amelia and I made a cake and had her and Johnny over.

Mom is doing better! I pick her up and take her to adult daycare 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)and she is not trying to leave there anymore so they are no longer trying to kick her out lol. Friday and Saturday she is at home with a home health person that works with her on her memory and Friday nights I get to spend with her just her and me (and brent and amelia sometimes too). :) Sunday and Monday she is at home with Johnny on his days off. He is great about working with her memory and having her exercise on these days as well in the evenings during the week. They say the exercise really helps with her brain function.

She is doing better as she is about 90% better physically and about 65% mentally. At this point she is kinda like an Alzheimer's person but a little different and better. The other evening Johnny was able to have a 15 minute conversation with her!!!! She has gotten better with her name and age and sometimes her address. She gets really confused still that she has children to watch (I guess that comes from watching amelia prior to all this happening) which is hard bc she becomes ADAMANT about it. She also will say things like "Oh angie said the funniest thing the other day" (to me) and I will say, "Mom, I am Angie". She will immediately say, "No, my daughter Angie". These things sting but I have to remember she has come a VERY long way from someone in a coma and on a ventilator just a year ago. She has a bit to go but we very strongly think she will just keep getting better and better and better. Thank you God for us still being able to have this phenomenal woman in our lives. Love you Mom!!
